SUMMARY:Human Resources County Administrator Community Forum - Meet & Greet
DESCRIPTION:With the retirement of the PBC County Administrator\, the Board of County Commissioners is in the process of recruiting and selecting the county’s next county administrator. After reviewing applications from throughout the nation\, there are four candidates moving forward in the process. To give you the opportunity to get to know these individuals\, Palm Beach County is hosting a County Administrator Candidate Forum on Monday June 16\, 2025 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the Palm Beach County Convention Center located at 650 Okeechobee Blvd.\, West Palm Beach\, FL 33401. All four candidates will be answering questions submitted by the public. Information about the candidates can be found here. \nThe public is invited to attend the forum and submit questions in person. Questions can also be submitted through this link until 11:59 P.M. on June 15. Please do not send comments through the question form. Questions submitted in person at the forum will be accepted until 6 P.M on the day of the event. All questions will be screened to be legally appropriate. Please be aware that depending on the number of questions received\, there is no guarantee that the candidates will be asked your specific question. The questions will be placed into a bowl\, selected randomly by a moderator\, and each candidate will have the opportunity to answer. When submitting questions\, please note that all questions should be applicable to all four of the candidates; questions directed to one specific candidate will not be accepted. \nIf you plan to attend the meeting in person\, please RSVP using this link. An RSVP is not required to attend\, but will help us to provide enough space to host a comfortable event. The forum will also be broadcast live on PBC TV Channel 20 and streaming online at www.pbc.gov.​\n​ \nIn addition to the County Administrator Candidate Forum\, commissioners will be conducting in-person\, one on one interviews with the candidates earlier on Monday June 16 and will hold a workshop on Tuesday June 17 at 9:30 A.M. in the Jane Thompson Memorial Chambers at the Governmental Center. In this workshop\, the commissioners will publicly question the candidates with a goal of selecting a new administrator by the end of the meeting. This workshop will be broadcast live on PBC TV Channel 20 and streaming online at www.pbc.gov.

DESCRIPTION:URGENT: Western Community Residents! Call to action! \nThe Palm Beach County Planning Department will hold a meeting on February 5\, 2025\, at 9:30 AM regarding the proposed “West End Crossing” development. This includes a 7-Eleven\, commercial office space\, and a drive-through fast-food chain at the southeast corner of Northlake Blvd and Seminole Pratt Whitney Blvd. \nOn January 10\, 2025\, the Zoning Department denied the request for several reasons\, notably because the project does not align with the Acreage Neighborhood Plan. It was voted down 8-4. However\, there were only 2 residents present to voice their concerns\, which may suggest to others that there is little opposition to this development. \nWe need as many residents as possible to attend the meeting. The meeting will be held at the BCC Chambers\, 6th Floor\, Jane M. Thompson Memorial Chambers\, 301 N. Olive Ave\, West Palm Beach\, FL 33401 at 9:30 AM. \nIf you cannot attend\, please complete the petition to express your disapproval of the project to both the Planning Staff and the County Commissioners.
